American Emu Association National Convention
Egg Carving Classes

The Montana Emu Association is pleased to announce that International Award Winning Egg Artist Tina Munford Boes will be teaching the egg carving classes at the convention this year.  To take a look at some of the beautiful work Tina does, visit her website at http://www.carvedeggshells.com.  Tina is "List Mom" on an Yahoo group, Egg Art, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/eggart.

Tina’s work has been featured in several egg art magazines and she is a past egg-carving judge for the Eggshell Sculptor Magazine.

You do not have to be a member of either the Montana Emu Association(MTEA) or the American Emu Association (AEA) to take this class.  If you are a member of the AEA, this class will count as an Accredited Emu Producer class.

Classes will be held twice a day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Morning classes are from 8 AM until Noon.  Afternoon classes are from 1 PM until 5 PM.

Students will bring their own Dremel tool with flex shaft attachment (see photo to the left) and two towels to the class.  Using a flex shaft is much easier on the hand than trying to carve with just the Dremel tool.  Burrs and masks will be supplied.

The class is $50.00 per student.  If you are attending the convention, you may pay when you register, however you must contact Myra Glick to confirm the class time.  If you are an egg artist seeking to expand your skills or a hobbyist interested in trying a new medium, you will need to contact Myra Glick and arrange for a class.

Cut off date for registration is June 1, 2007. Contact the egg class liaison, Myra Glick, at 360-491-2349 or by emailing emugma@aol.com with the words “Egg Carving Class” in the subject line to get your class time set up or if you have any questions.

Make payment to the American Emu Association and mail checks to:
