2nd Annual Extravagant Emu Egg Contest

The contest is over now, but the eggs are still on display so please feel free to browse and contact the artists!

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Extravagant Emu Egg Contest, once again sponsored by the Midwest Emu Growers Alliance (MEGA).  

For many years Egging has been seen as more of an "arts & crafts" project than a work of Art.  As you can see from the entries on the following pages, this is changing!

MEGA is sponsoring this contest to introduce you, the general public, to Egging.  As an incentive, they are offering you an opportunity to win a 2 oz bottle of emu oil in each of the four categories that you vote in.

Rules:

1.  Only one vote per category.

2.  Only one vote per person.  We will cross check email and street addresses to ensure that no one votes twice.

3.  Employees of Emu's Zine, members of MEGA and their immediate families may not vote. (you'd think with our pay scale they'd let us, but noooo)

4.  Winning eggs will be announced in our July/August issue, winners of drawings will also be announced at that time.

5.  Contest ends May 31, 2000 and drawings will be held on or about the week of June 12th.  Winners will be notified by email.
