"Minnie Mouse"
This is a music box with Mickey and Minnie porcelain figurines inside standing on a mirror.  The entire outside of the hinged emu egg has been beaded with black beads.  A bright red ribbon is positioned with care and our Minnie has silk roses at her feet.   The upper interior is lined with red velvet.  The artist added black glitter to the back of the porcelain figurines ears.    The black and white portions of the eyes were done by putting white and black powder in epoxy.  The hinge ring is Minnie's mouth, as well as being the opening to the hidden figurines inside.

"Turtle Jewelry Box"
The artist first carved the emu egg to look like a turtle shell, then cut it in half below the halfway mark.  The smaller part became the bottom of the jewelry box.  The larger part of the shell was then reduced in size further by the removal of pieces which would later become the rim of the turtle shell.  Clay was used to build out the edge and to hold the smaller pieces.  The head and legs were also made of clay and baked in the oven along with the rim of the shell.   All pieces were glued together and the shell was further decorated with gemstones, liquid appliqué and gold cord.  The jewelry box is lined with green satin.

"Bird on Bamboo"
In this decorated emu egg, the artist has first painted the bird and bamboo on the egg, then cut out around the painting with a dremel tool to expose the inside of the egg.  To this has been added beads and ballentine.  Unbeaded areas were finished with a high gloss varnish.

"Angie's Diamond Dream"
This emu egg totally paved with about 11 yards of Swarovski stones - all clear except for a couple of rows top and bottom mid-way of aurora borealis for special effect.  Centerpiece is a contemporary pendant with huge AB pear shaped stone with more than usual facets surrounded by 3 rows of clear stones - claimed to be an unsigned Weiss piece and appears to be so.  One front drawer (not removable totally) with diamond studded pearl pull.  Inside are 2 tiny gold leafed boxes with rhinestone paved bottoms.  Gold tops come off for storage of stuff.  Lining is padded blue Sparklie silk.  Stand is leaded crystal edged with gold and ringed with more Swarovski stones.

"In Memory of Our Savior"
The front of the egg is an etching of Christ on the Cross, with ivy leaves around the cross.  The artist used the natural coloring of the egg to enhance the contours and create contrast.  The back features a door cut out and lined with a rich burgundy satin and outlined with gold and white braid.  The inside of the egg is also completely lined with the same burgundy satin.  The lining was contoured by sewing in darts in a manner to fit the eggs interior.  The insert is a picture of the Garden of Gethsemane mounted in a scroll sawn and engraved frame.  The oval opening is also decorated with gold braid.
