About Emu's Zine
History: Emu's Zine was started in 1997 by Charlotte Lenhard who
had to retire in 1999 due to an acceleration of her MS. Charlotte
believed strongly that the use of emu oil in massage therapy kept her active
much longer than she would have been able with only conventional medicine.
Myra Charleston started out writing for the zine in 1998 and took over as editor in
1999. In 2000 ownership was transferred to her. "Charlotte
wanted someone to carry on and chose me." says Myra "I feel very
honored and will do my best to maintain the magazine the way Charlotte would
have wanted."
Myra Charleston - Editor
An active member of the American Emu Association, Myra is currently serving on
the AEA Board of Directors and is a former president of the Tennessee Emu Association. A published poet, she also
