 "Pegasus"
It's said that the fountain Hippocrene sprang forth when Pegasus struck the
ground with his foot and that he could only be ridden when wearing the golden
bridle created by Athena for that purpose. Certainly the artist has
captured the pride and beauty of the myth in this carved emu egg.
