This is a one of a kind piece simply because of the rarity of the eggshell used. Emu eggs are normally three layers of color, white on the inside, then a teal, then a very dark, almost black shade of green. The eggshell used in this artwork did not get the final dark coat of color. The artist says "This egg was done with a beautiful light teal colored emu egg, left it's natural color. I call it "Fairies at Play". Hinged double doors are partially open in this picture and reveal a fairy inside. The base is a textured woodland stump with fairies and butterflies flitting all around. It is part of my private collection and not for sale." Email the artist for pricing and ordering information. Karen Prince
