All Kevin Postuchow designs are one of a kind and custom pieces. This beautiful ivory goose egg is intricately designed to depict two Victorian ladies hard at work trimming their Christmas tree. Each lady as well as the tree is handcrafted by the artist. The detail is exquisite from the voluminous bustles to the tiny shoes peaking out from under a skirt as she stands on a tiny stool (to hang an ornament a little higher on the beautifully detailed tree that sits on a small table). The tree is covered with ornaments and candles that look ready to be lit. Windows in the rear of the egg are a wonderful detail. If the egg is backlit (hang it in front of a Christmas tree light), the light glows through the shell and graces the room with its warm glow. The front opening is rimmed with small gold braid and faux pearl beads. A dangling red bauble catches the light at the bottom of the egg. The top is crowned with faux pearl beads, small gold braid, burgundy beads, a touch of burgundy velvet and an old world hanger.
