Betsy the Goose

In this charming salute to "My Goose Betsy" by Trudi Braun, Canadian artist Lee M. Boyle shows Betsy in her barn, perhaps in the process of hatching her eggs.   Betsy's gander and one of her chicks is shown on the base.  This original design composed freehand and cut in dioramic style with a hinged door and cutaway barn windows on a Goose Egg painted with acrylics and pastels.  As a note of interest to the collector - this unusual shaped egg was one of the last eggs laid by a motherly fourteen-year old goose.
