Here Mary Shelley's gothic horror story is brought to life with an original design by Canadian Artist Lee M. Boyle. A true collectible, this piece cannot be recreated due to the rarity of the oddly-shaped Pheasant egg which was used for the monster's head. This original design was composed freehand with the castle created from a vinegar-etched and carved Emu Egg cut in dioramic style with a lightning rod trap door on top and a hinged front door (complete with the key enabling Frankenstein's Monster to escape!). The base supporting this artwork resembles the mountain on which the castle of Dr. Victor Frankenstein was built. The Frankenstein Monster's head was created using coloured pencils and pastels to enhance the unique shape, wrinkles, and colouring on a rare, oddly-shaped Pheasant Egg which is mounted on a hand-made plaster cloth body.
