Royal Carriage

A Lynne de Boer Coach Egg will take about 40-50 hours to create.  In creating these heirloom quality coaches, she utilizes many fine vintage jewelry pieces as well as some unique design elements.

"I use special paint mixtures I've created on some, 10 coats of acrylic polyurethane on each, and heavy wire stands that are painted (I used to make these myself but a company makes them for me now using my original as a guide).  That's the basics on every carriage egg.  I use only fine antique or vintage jewelry, many of which are signed by famous makers like Eisenbergt, Weiss, Bogoff, Hollycraft, etc."

This coach was specially made for a famous doll artist and ordered thru an exclusive doll shop in New York that shows some of the de Boer pieces.  It has a full crown on top, hundreds of Swarovski rhinestones, a 24K gold filigree brooch from the 1890's with rhinestones and a paua shell cabochon centering it,  22K gold swags on the outside over windows and the door, a gold step and shimmery wheel covers with the gold filigree disk covers edged with rhinestones.  There is  driver's and footman's seat on each end.  Inside has the padded white and gold satin brocade seats, tufted and bejewelled ceiling with gold lace edging, padded door inside, and the Arctic Fox rug.  Inside is painted with a gold metallic acrylic, outside is combination of transparent glass stains used over a silver leaf base and then 10 coats of the acrylic polyurethane. All de Boer carriages use little magnets for door catches.

Reproducing the  Royal Carriage as a commissioned work would cost a minimum of $1295.00 depending on the customers requirements.  Contact the artist regarding commission of a similar piece.
