Gingerbread Man

"Run, run, as fast as you can. You can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!"  

This delightful Goose Egg Christmas Ornament from egg artist Noreen Stewart was inspired by a story book classic - the Gingerbread Man.  Her rendition has a delightful twist to it.   As we all know, in the story the Gingerbread Man is caught by a fox - but according to this egg, it was a Gingerbread Lady!    

The hanging egg is decoupaged with a cute gingerbread couple wearing frosting in Christmas colors of red, green and snowy white.  They are framed by red ovals highlighted with a sprig of holly.  As can be seen in the photo below (click to enlarge and view more detail), the sides of the egg are further decorated with candy canes and mints.   

On the back of the egg is a recipe for gingerbread cookies (click on the photo below to see a more detailed view).
